Cantiere (building site)… Cantare (to sing)… They start with the same
letter, though there’s no connection between the two: and yet,
those working at building sites build an idea, they ELEVATE it;
the same happens when a choir sings: it ELEVATES the spirit
of the listeners.
Might it be that singers are builders of the soul? If light
had a weight of its own, and this were thrown into a choir,
it would certainly define the shape
of the elevation itself.
